Our Saturday night started with a drive about an hour away to Frederick, Md. The other art teacher I work with was having her art show opening, and I really wanted to go to support her and check out her gorgeous chalk pastel landscapes. We couldn't stop looking at her artwork and technique, and I can't wait to pick her brain on how she gets such rich, paint like colors.
After the gallery, we walked around the historic downtown. It was raining, but that has never stopped me from shopping! Our purchases included bacon chocolate (delicious and salty!), some feather earrings (thanks Matt!) and cream soda which Matt described as "melted ice cream".

When we got home, I decided to roast the 5 heads of garlic I had bought earlier this week at H Mart for 99 cents. So good. I spread it on some crusty rolls with fresh mozzarella, tomato, salt and ground pepper. No pictures because they disappeared fast. Delicious end to the day.
